Child's Monkey Stool
This is an adorable craft you can make for any child in your life. It'll look great in their bedroom or bathroom. It's an easy project you can make in only seven steps.
Materials:
- DecoArt Products Required
- Americana Acrylics
- DAO1 - Snow (Titanium) White
- DA174 - Milk Chocolate
- DAO31 - Baby Pink
- DAO67 - Lamp (Ebony) Black
- DA259 - Cocoa
- DA214 - Petal Pink
- DA253 - Pistachio Mint
- 1 1/2" sponge brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- #8 flat brush
- #0 liner brush
- Round sponge pouncer
- Tracing and transfer paper
- Water container
- Palette or plastic plate
- Paper towels
- Pencil or stylus
- Oval wood footstool, Walnut Hollow #1031440
Pattern
Steps:
Note: Allow to dry between steps.
- Use sponge brush to basecoat top, Petal Pink; legs, Baby Pink; support bar Pistachio Mint.
- Trace and transfer pattern.
- Paint monkey face area, Cocoa; ears, head, tail, and paws, Milk Chocolate; bow, Pistachio Mint; eyes, Snow White with Lamp Black pupils.
- Use liner brush and Lamp Black to paint nose, mouth, eyelashes, and all outlining.
- Mix small amount of Baby Pink with Cocoa. Pounce mix on cheeks.
- Use brush handle end and Snow White to dot eye highlights.
- Use sponge pouncer and Baby Pink to dot on background.
