Materials List
- 3 Skeins of Red Heart Mexicana Yarn
- 6 Skeins of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in solid color of your choice
- Size H crochet hook
- Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Instructions
ch 132.

Row 1: in the second ch from the hook, sc. Then sc in each chain across (130 sts).

Row 2: ch 1. sc in the second chain from the hook. dc in the same st. Skip the next st. Repeat (sc and dc in the same st, skip the next st) across.

Rows 3-12: rep row 2.
These stitches comprise the entire afghan. Color changes indicated in subsequent rows. -
Rows 13-15: switch to Mexicana (rainbow) yarn.

Rows 16-18: switch to solid color.

Rows 19-21: switch to rainbow color.

Rows 22-24: solid color.
-
Rows 25-27: rainbow color.
-
Rows 28-38: solid color.
-
Rows 39-41: rainbow color.
-
Repeat rows 2-41 until blanket is near desired length.

Finish with 11 rows of solid color to match start of afghan.

I have not tried this one yet, but it is on my must make list. I love the bright bold colors and so have to find the Red Heart Mexicana Yarn. I have not seen it yet but will be looking for it, because it so makes this blanket. This is a very easy pattern to whip up and looks so good. It will make a great gift or even on to keep.
