Striped Star Afghan
This free crochet afghan pattern from Bernat Yarns is brilliant. The color scheme goes nicely together while the stripes add design. The star shape really adds to the design.

When you say cluster in the directions of the stat afghan, do u mean 3 double chain 1 or 2 and 3 double st? I ubderstand all of it but that.

I think this pattern would be good to use up scraps of yarn left over from other projects.

The pattern calls for Bernat Mosaic (100 g/3.5 oz; 191 m / 209 yds) 44200 (Ambrosia) 13 balls. This is a varigated 4-ply yarn and looks likes stripes in this pattern. There are no color changes called for. If you look closely at the picture, no row is completely one color; only sections of the rows. As for difficulty, it's not hard; simply dc's and chains. You do however have to keep a good count so your points and valleys line up correctly otherwise your star will be lopsided. Note the last paragraph of the pattern.

I'm with BBBGOOD. I love the pattern but if I don't have a color chart, I can't use it.
