I have never seen a pair of baby booties that look like this, ever! I am super excited to make a pair of these for my friend's newborn baby. What I really like (besides the bubble look!) is the adjustable ties. Personally, I would do a simple chain instead of just a length of yarn. The pattern suggests either one as an option. I just like a more finished look of a chain. I love the gray and either pink or blue depending on gender. It's worked up in mostly half-double crochets, which are easy. I am adding this project to my save list.
