This one has been around for awhile now, I've seen it and have been waiting for all the questions and problems folks have are fixed before I give it a try. I'm hoping everything is okay with the written pattern. Has anyone finished this one yet? I so want to make and wear this Cool Summer Hoodie. I love the design and hope to make it soon. Thank you for sharing this crochet hoodie pattern.

How cute and snuggly! I don't own a hoodie but I've been thinking about getting one. Why buy it when I can make it? Thank you so much for thinking of us larger women and including our sizes too! I think I'll make this pattern up in strawberry shortcake or robin egg. I can't wait to slip this on with my favorite pair of blue jeans!

I am currently on the Divide for Front Opening. Step 3 says "Rep last row until armhole measures 10 rows less than Back to shoulder . . .". Can someone elaborate on this as to what it means, please.

I have not made this yet, but I plan to. What she means is that say your back is a total of 75 rows, then for the divided section you would only go to row 65. This section gives you the v-neck opening in the front of the sweater. Looking at the picture while reading step 3 will help to make it more clear. I hope I made sense. Good luck.

What a super cute pullover, lightweight sweater to wear as a cover-up at the beach or poolside. I like the look of the half-double crochet. It's one of my favorite stitches. This really looks like it was bought at a store somewhere. I would love to see this in a pale green or a coral. I am adding this to my "save project" tab. I can have something to make to keep me busy for the rest of this cold winter!

Why is it chain 15 for front and back for ALL sizes. i would think that it would be different or more for each larger size. And what does (RS) stand for? Thanks

Sorry, I know this is probably too late but I'll try to answer your questions. The instructions say to chain 15 for the band (around the bottom of the shirt) because this is actually the height of the band. You are basically crocheting it sideways and then you'll turn and crochet into the sides to create the rest of the piece. That is why the length for each size is different but the height is the same. Also RS stands for "right side." In this case, your first row and all odd rows are your right side and WS would stand for "wrong side." I hope this helps, either you or someone else who attempts this pattern. Good luck!

I forgot to mention that the right side would be the outside of your work or the side other people would see. P

Hi! I don't understand what is the difference between "burst" and "finished bust". The first one is for ma real number and the second one for the result of the sweater?
Member 8697639

Yes, exactly that. The "bust" would be your own measurements while the "finished bust" would be how large the sweater would be. Obviously you want your finished size to be a bit bigger than your actual measurements so it's night skin-tight!! ) I know this is a bit late, but I hope this helps.

I'm confused on the part where you divide the front opening. Are you supposed to do it twice? One for each side? I may just skip this part.... The instruction has been clear up to this point.

I think my 2 teenage granddaughters are going to love this top if I can pull it off! This will be my first attempt at making a sweater although I've crocheted for years and made just about everything else.
