Christmas Reversible Ripple Afghan

Materials:
- 2 skeins Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn in White
- 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn in Paddy Green
- 2 skeins Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn in Jockey Red
- G and H crochet hooks or size needed for gauge
Gauge: With H hook 8 dcs – 2 ¼”, 4 rows – 2 ¾”
Special Stitches:
- Shell – 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the same stitch
- Split Shell (Spl Sh) – dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, dc
Instructions:
Afghan measures 45” x 60”

Row 1 – With green and H hook ch 152, dc in 5th ch from hook, dc in each of next 6 ch, *Shell in next ch, dc in each of next 8 ch, skip 2 ch, Spl Sh in next ch, skip 2 ch, dc in each of next 8 ch, rep from * across, fasten off and turn. (6 Spl Shs and 7 Shells)

Row 2 – Join white with a sl st, ch 2, skip 1 dc, dc in each of next 7 dc, *Shell in next Shell, skip 1 dc of Shell, dc in each of next 8 dc, ch 2, sc in next ch 2 sp, ch 3, sc in next ch 2 sp, ch 2, skip 1 dc, dc in each of next 8 dc, rep from * across ending Shell in last Shell, skip 1 dc, dc in each of next 7 dc, skip 1 dc, dc in ch 3 of turning ch, fasten off and turn.

- Rep Rows 2 and 3 for a total of 88 rows as follows: Color Scheme: 1 row each – green, white, red, white, green, white, red, white
Edging
- With G hook work along straight edge, join white with a sl st in first dc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in same sp, (sc, ch 2, sc) in each dc across and fasten off. Rep along opposite edge.
