Very clever! Great last minute gift wrap that can double as ornaments. A real stashbuster.

Not so much... It is cute, but I guess I am too practical.

I think this is adorable and I would make it. I can see using it for items other than bottles.

I made this and it is quick and adorable.

I would so make that..... I would love to receive it I think it is so cute

I think this is a neat little idea. If the receiver of the gift does not mind the bottle and its contents, then a small crocheted scarf and hat should not be an issue. It is so easy to laugh and say negative words; but remember the consequences. How about "thank you" and leave it at that.

I am very surprised by the comments. I have and will continue to make these and they are received very well. As with any project, you choose the colors and yarns that best suit your taste. I use them instead of wrapping paper or bags. It is not meant to leave it on the bottle after openning - re-use on another bottle. Very cute idea.

Well, it can be made for other bottles other than alcohol bottles, so that isn't an issue, however I have to agree with everyone else..it is a little tacky looking. The cap could get wet with the liquid as well as the scarf, etc. No, I don't think I would make this. As some people have said, maybe it might look better with a different kind of thread, but still is not a premier project.

I think it is tacky but my Husband is still laughing at it. He loves it. No, I will not be making it but he has enjoyed the photo above.

Not a chance!!!! It is tacky. Looks like something from a kindergarten class project. But most of all, it interferes with serving the beverage from the bottle. You'll end up with neck scarf in the wine glass, and the hat will be lost somewhere along the way.

My first reaction to this was , NO, tacky, tacky, tacky!!!! But then I thought, it would be okay with different yarn. Thinner with glitter (metallic)thread, something with more class and elegance. Hopefully you can repost this with a better chose of yarn,; and then my other thought( my chose) was a thin fishers net basket around the bottle with the metallic look yarn.

I would not make or give...but I know there are many people who would think it is cute.......And to be honest if it was more delicate and done in something other than yarn, I might agree

I made this out of salvage yarn I had left over, best waste of yarn I've ever made. I made it a bit bigger for a bottle of sparkling cider we plan to take to our hostess for christmas eve dinner. I made it with colors that she decorates with. I know she will get a laugh out of it and so will all the other family members that will be there. That was a good enough reason to make it for me. It only took me about and hour and a half to make it.

No, I would not make it because we do not drink alcoholic drinks and do not believe that others should either.

This has got to be the silliest project I've ever seen, and I have a friend who would just love it. Off the find my hooks.
