15 Caron Cakes Patterns
These yarn cakes patterns are so pretty and easy to make.
Caron Cakes patterns have taken the world by storm! These fantastic yarns change color on their own so you don't have to, and they come in a variety of beautiful color schemes and even types. After the original Caron Cakes were released, there have since been other sizes, weights, and compositions. You can find Caron Big Cakes, Tea Cakes, and Cupcakes in stores now for even more colors and project possibilities!
Learn how to make scarves, hats, and other patterns with the yarn cakes ideas in this collection. Whether you want to make a small hat with the Cupcakes yarn or a scarf using one skein of the Caron Cakes, you'll find a selection of some of our favorite patterns here. All of these patterns are free crochet patterns, but our friends at AllFreeKnitting and AllFreeCrochet have several gorgeous patterns as well:

Your kids will love these darling hats! Use Caron Cupcakes to make them. The Caron Cupcakes yarn comes with pom poms and it's a slightly smaller skein then regular Caron Cakes (244 yards versus 383 yards and 100% acrylic instead of 20% wool). A smaller skein is perfect for a smaller project like this one, and Smitha even wrote in her blog post that she had about half the skein left over!
