Well, therte are no limits to your color choices here with the Ethen Baby Blanket. It is very boyish and rugged in the gold and blue. If you're making one for a baby girl, perhaps a pretty color choice would be a violet as the main color and a sweet pea green for the striping. It's a little out of the ordinary, but that's how I think! Seriously, the double crochets together and the chains and skips are so easy to do. A beginner could do this with practice.

This blanket is so cute and looks really easy! The color scheme reminds me of the Hogwarts Ravenclaw colors from Harry Potter. Although, if I made it, I would use gold and Gryffindor red!
