Jute Hemp Crochet Coasters
"This is a free crochet pattern for quick and easy coasters made with jute hemp. If you first time crocheting with jute hemp, you probably feel a little bit different because the jute hemp cord is rougher than yarn. It may take some time to finish one coaster even it is a very simple flat circle to crochet with 3 rounds. But the final result is amazingly beautiful and useful too. Add a nice finishing touch with Crab st (Reverse Single Crochet) edging using scrap yarns. I hope you enjoy and try."

One of my boys has recently taken to wanting to use coasters for everything, so I have been looking up patterns to make him a set for his stocking this year. I like these. They will be durable and should keep their shape well. And they are quick to make.

I use coasters large and small (larger ones can also be known as trivets) for all sorts of things around my house. She shows it being used as a plant pot coaster to catch drips from when you water your plants. I have always loved this idea! It is colorful and unexpected!

I love those coasters in white jute hemp. They are sturdier than the usual crochet yarns and can withstand constant washing. Stains can easily be noticed though on the white material used. These coasters will also look great when done in darker colors.
