"This awesome free crochet slouchy hat pattern is perfect for any child or adult in your life! It features a fun textured design and a cool and comfortable slouch. Be warned, though, it does feature light fingering yarn, so takes a bit of time to work up. The end results are well worth the effort though. This pattern calls for light fingering (1) yarn and size 4.25mm (G) crochet hook. Pattern includes all sizes Child, Teen, Adult Female, and Adult Male."

I am a huge fan of Michaels' brand Loop Threads, Woolike yarn. DO not be intimidated by the thinness of this yarn. It may seem a little daunting, like you are not making any progress on your piece. But it will be worth it in the end. It is SO SOFT and it drapes like a dream! I think it is the perfect choice for a slouchy hat!
