Extra Large Hot Pink Pill Bottle Cozy

Work up a great easy crochet pattern that will come in mighty useful. The Extra Large Hot Pink Pill Bottle Cozy is a beginner crochet pattern that is perfect for an unexpected need. Finding pill bottles in the purse can be challenging, but with a crocheted sleeve, you can grip the bottle more easily and find it in your purse. As a special treat, this pattern is worked up using reflective yarn, making it easy to spot as well as feel. PLEASE NOTE be sure to always check the labels on your pill bottles before taking medicine.

Beginner

Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook

Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Materials List

Red Heart Reflective Yarn in Neon Pink (1 skein)
4.25mm / G Crochet Hook

Instructions

Ch 5. Join.
Ch 2. 10 hdc in circle. Join.
Ch 2. 2 dcs in first st, 1 dc in next st, repeat to end of row (15 dcs)
Ch 2. 2 dcs in first st, 1 dc in next 2 sts, repeat to end of row (20 sts).
Ch 2. Dc in each st (20 sts).
Repeat row 5 until pill bottle cozy fits.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.

This is a very good idea. But why not put them on your pill bottles at home? Maybe color coordinate with how many times a day you are to take them? I have one pill that I take once a day and another that I take twice a day. It would keep me from grabbing the wrong one.

I love that idea! And if they're stored in plain sight instead of in a cabinet, this could be a way to make them decorative even!

I have never thought about making a pill bottle cozy. This is a great idea. Each cover could be color coded to help a patient too, especially someone with limited sight. This is perfect for bottles that have to be carried in a purse because I think it would help muffle the sound of the medication rattling in the bottle too. This is definitely going on my Pinterest page!

I didn't even think about muffling the sound! That would be awesome. I can't stand it when I rattle when I walk because of a pill bottle or even tic tacs or something in my purse!!

I love this idea for the Extra Large Hot Pink Bottle Cozy! The written pattern, (on this page) is well written and easy to understand and follow. This is a great idea for those with arthritis and have a hard time griping pill bottles. I think it would be a good idea to sew on the cozy what is in the bottle and the dose. I will be making these in different colors for different meds. Looking forward to using these. Thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern.
