I'm working on this Rainbow Trout bookmark and the pattern needs some clarification. Is there any way to put a stitch count on this pattern at the end of each row? I am a VERY experienced crocheter and with the way it is written, I am getting an even number of stitches on the first 7 rows. After that, the instructions don't work out right. Anne

Rustydip: JDC stands for joined double crochet. For JDC: yo, insert hook in same cp sp as last dc made, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook, yo, insert hook in next ch sp, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook, yo, pull through all 3 lps on hook.

Please. If anyone can tell me what "jdc" in this Rainbow Trout Bookmark By: Kathie Mc Pugh of Crochet Bookmarkers pattern stands for I'd be so grateful... I've used hdc many times & have done crochet for at least 40 years but never came across this one before. Could it mean "joining double crochet"?
