Soft & Swanky Cowl
"I really enjoyed making this one using Red Heart yarns – Soft and Swanky, hence the name. Red Heart sent me a skein of their sequined Boutique Swanky yarn to check out and I loved it – the matching sequins, the silkiness, the workability. I thought it would look very nice paired with their Soft yarn so I chose a skein of Berry that I already had and held the two strands together. It’s hard to see the sequins in the picture above (except the reflection of one on my chin – ha!) but they are there, evenly spaced and adorable. I haven’t worked with sequin yarn much but didn’t find it to be a challenge at all. I was afraid the sequins would snag or I would have problems with them, but I didn’t. Yarn: Red Heart Soft, 5.0 oz/141g, each approx 256 yards/234 meters (acrylic): 1 Ball # 9779 Berry Red Heart Boutique Swanky, 3.5 oz/100g, each approx 202 yards/185 meters (acrylic/polyester): 1 Ball #9401 Sterling Hook: N (9.00mm) Notions: Yarn needle"
