Twinkle My Toes
"Twinkle My Toes is 34" from tip to tip. This rag rug can be made larger by increasing rows and smaller by decreasing rows. Twinkle My Toes looks great in a tropical setting, childrens room, bathroom or where a small area rug is needed. It takes three discarded cotton sheets, sewing thread, Q hook, scissors, ruler and a sewing machine/or sewing needle. It's easy to make and a JOY have or give away.... SO, join in the FUN!!!"

Instructions
Twinkle My Toes This rug measures 34" from point to point and takes three sheets to complete. The third or last color will take a large sheet. You'll need matching thread and a Q hook. Tear the fabric into 2" strips. To sew strips together, place fronts together in an L-shape , then sew across the corner left to right. Trim off the loose corner. Spread it stripe out. To crochet a larger rug, increase at each point by 2 sts or 10 sts pre row. NOTES: 1. As you crochet, gently pull the rug into a star design. 2. This pattern needs a large safety pin put in middle 2 dc sts. It will remind you where the point is and you want have to stop and count to make sure it's right. I still stop and count occasionally to be absolutely sure I'm correct. 3. Create a rhythm as you crochet. It will make it easier to proceed and quicker to complete. Instructions I crocheted in the back loop, but you can us both loops if you like. Ch 2. Row 1: Sc 6 in ch 1. Row 2: Sc 2 in next 6 sts. (6 sts) Row 3: Sc 2 in next 12 sts. (24 sts) Row 4: *Sc, hdc, dc 2, hdc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (30 sts) Row 5: *Sc, hdc, dc2, dc 2, hdc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (40 sts) Row 6: *Sc, sc, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (50) Row 7: *Sc, sc, sc, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc, sc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (60) Row 8: *Sc, sc, sc, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc, sc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (70) Row 9: *Sc, sc, sc, sc, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc, sc, sc, sc*. Repeat* 4 times. (80) Row 10: *Sc in next 5 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 5 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (90) Row 11: *Sc in next 6 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 6 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (100) Row 12: *Sc in next 7 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 7 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (110) Row 13: *Sc in next 8 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 8 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (120) Row 14: *Sc in next 9 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 9 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (130) Row 15: *Sc in next 10 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 10 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (140) Row 16: *Sc in next 11 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 11 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (150) Row 17: *Sc in next 12 sts, hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc, sc in next 12 sts*. Repeat* 4 times. (160) The rug I made is 17 rows. To add a row, add 2 sts to each point. Add a sc before crocheting a hdc, dc 2, dc 2, hdc; add another sc. If you make you're rug larger, you'll need more fabric. Weave in loose fabric. Trim. You're FINISHED!!!

This is adorable. It would look great in my grand daughters room. She is my little star. It would be perfect. I read thru the instructions and it's very easy to do. And yes it would be very simple to enlarge it if you wanted a bigger one. Thank you for this!
