Materials List
- Pillow
- Mesh tube ribbon
- E6000 adhesive
- Beacon's 3-in-1 adhesive
- Glitter glue
- Washi tape
- Mini battery operated LED string lights
Instructions
-
Place string lights into mesh ribbon and glue closed in to prevent fraying with Beacon's 3-in-1.
-
Adhere other end of ribbon to battery pack.
-
Cover battery pack with glitter so it blends in with the ribbon
-
Spread washi tape across pillow so you have a straight line to follow when making marquee letters.
-
Practice spelling out the word with the ribbon before gluing onto pillow to get an idea of size of the letters.
-
Adhere 1 small section of ribbon at a time to the pillow with E6000. Allow that section to be mostly dry before moving on to the next section. It will take time, but in the end the ribbon will never move on the pillow no matter how much it is played with.
-
Give the battery pack a slight twist to turn lights on and off.
