Faux Stone Tray
Transform an inexpensive wooden tray into a sophisticated serving piece with the look of old stone.

- DS60 - DuraClear Matte Varnish

Palette Knife
- DT02 - Palette Knife
Supplies
- Water container
- Palette or plastic plate
- Paper towels
- 1/4" masking tape or quilters tape
- Baby wipes
- Wood tray
Steps:
- Tape off blocks on tray sides with tape.
- Apply Texture Thick with palette knife to inside of tray.
- With palette knife, apply Texture Fine on tray sides. Allow to dry.
- Mix Faux Glazing Medium, water, and Asphaltum equally. Apply glaze randomly and wipe back with baby wipe.
- Carefully remove tape.
- Paint border and tape lines wtih Asphaltum.
- Add veining details with liner brush and Asphaltum.
- Apply DuraClear Matte Varnish, allowing to dry between coats.
