Flower Step Stool
Make your home decor come alive with daisies! This craft project is useful for anyone who needs a little bit more height. The bright bold colors give this stool flower power!
Materials:
- Plaid Materials
- 513 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Cayman Blue, 2 oz.
- 503 - FolkArt ® Artists Pigments™ - Yellow Citron, 2 oz.
- 602 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Country Twill, 2 oz.
- 413 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Pink, 2 oz.
- 736 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - School Bus Yellow, 2 oz.
- CS11201 - Mod Podge ® Gloss, 8 oz.
- 437 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Lipstick Red, 2 oz.
- 513 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Cayman Blue, 2 oz.
- Pictures of flowers (used here: Colorbok Photo Graphics Flowers 765468-178776)
- Large and medium flat brush
- Steel wood
- Sand paper
- Jumbo Round Stool
- Plaid® Grout Tape
Steps:
- Basecoat stool Country Twill.
- Place grout tape crossed in center on top of stool. Paint opposite sections School Bus Yellow and Yellow Citron. Let dry.
- Paint legs of stool using photo for color placement.
- Brush Mod Podge on back of photo graphic flowers as place on stool. Let dry. Apply three coats of Mod Podge, allowing time to dry completely between coats. Wet sand paper and lightly rub over top of stool. Lightly rub with steel wool. Apply three additional coats of Mod Podge, again, allowing to dry completely between coats.
