Oversized Decorative Letters

You know the old saying, "if only these walls can talk"?  Well, now they can!  Give your walls something to say with these Oversized Decorative Letters.  Made with a selection of scrapbook papers, these decorative letters are a fun and thrifty way to decorate every room in your home, from your kitchen to your bedroom.

Materials:

• Paper mache letters
• Scrapbook pages
• Paint
• Elmer’s spray adhesive
• Exacto knife

Instructions:

1. Paint the edges of the letters.  No need to paint the front of the letters since you will be covering it with paper.
    
2. Turn your scrapbook paper face side down and place the letter on top of it.  Trace the letter on the back side of the scrapbook paper.
    
3. Cut out the letters with scissor and use an exacto knife for the inside of letters like the letter “P”.  Now you have a scrapbook page that is the exact size and shape of your letters.
    
4. After the paint has dried on the edges of the letters, spray elmer’s spray adhesive on the face of the letters, then place your scrapbook paper on top of the letter.  It will fit perfectly since you traced it to line up with the letters.
