Glitter Lightening Bolt Earrings
Dig into your recycle bin brand new jewelry making ideas! Show off your fiery spirit and love for green crafting with Glitter Lightening Bolt Earrings from Savannah Starr. With an empty bottle of Aleene's Tacky Glue and tons of glitter, you can make sparkly and fun accessories.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
- Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets
- Paint brush
- Empty Aleene’s Tacky Glue bottle
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Pencil
- Paper plate
- Hole punch – small (for jump ring)
- Glitter (black and gold)
- Jewelry findings (jump rings, fish hook earrings)
Instructions:

Using scissors, cut earrings of desired size from Tacky glue bottle.

Place earring shape on Peel and Stick Sheet and trace around bottle with pencil.

Draw lightning bolt in center. With scissors, cut Peel and Stick sheet along outside pattern lines.

Use craft knife to cut along lightning bolt pattern line.

Peel back liner paper along top edge and align with earring shape. Continue to peel back liner paper until entire piece is glued in place.

Remove top liner paper from background (leaving lightning bolt area pattern liner paper in place.)

Place earring on plate and sprinkle with black glitter. Shake off excess glitter.

Use craft knife to help lift the edge of lightning bolt design to reveal adhesive.

Sprinkle with gold glitter. Shake off excess.

Using small hole punch, punch hole at top center of earring shape.

Insert jump ring into hole. Add fish hook earrings.
