Colorful Yarn Sticks
This colorful yarn sticks project is the perfect fall art for kids. They will have a great time running around outside finding broken sticks, but when it gets too chilly can come inside to finish the project. All you need for this project are nature's bounty, variegated/ombre yarn and scissors. You can also use textural yarn to add some variety and visual interest. This found object art is great to do after a rainy day when there will be plenty of material outside to choose from. Your kids will love this chance to take nature and make it even more beautiful.

Wrapping sticks is a classic yarn craft for the whole family to do together. I did a bunch here at home and randomly placed them in a clear glass vase (even one from the dollar store will do) and put the vase near a window. The colors of the yarn are so bright and cheery when the light shines through the window and onto the glass vase. This has got to be one of, if not THE easiest way to punch up your decor on the cheap!
