Modern Father's Day Card
Take the creativity up a notch with a modern Father's Day card that looks professionally done. Follow this quick tutorial for a nice Father's Day craft that he won't forget.
Materials:
- 433 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Terra Cotta, 2 oz.
- 938 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Licorice, 2 oz.
- Small wooden heart
- Black scrapbook paper
- Striped scrapbook paper
- Lettered scrapbook paper
- Scrapbook paper with words
- Stencil brush
- Double sided tape
- White cardstock
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Straight edge
- Hot glue
- 1/4" flat brush
Steps:
- Using craft knife, score the center of cardstock and fold in half to form a card.
- From the black scrapbook paper, cut out front for card covering the entire card. Attach with tape.
- Cut out a piece from the striped paper. Cut only the half the width of the card. Attach to the left side of card.
- Paint the wooden heart with terra cotta. Allow to dry.
- Cut out "D", "A", "D" and the words from paper. Dry brush the edges with licorice. Also dry brush the edges of the heart with licorice.
- Add to the front of card with tape.
- Hot glue the heart in place. Refer to photo for placement.
