Materials:
- Wooden framed mirror (Mirror shown is 36" x 24" )
- "Shabby Chic" flower trim (enough to cover the entire surface of the frame) Rule of thumb for amount of ribbon: Perimeter of frame times width of the wood frame. Amount shown (Frame is 36" x 24" = 120" perimeter, width of wood frame 5 1/2 inches =660 inches or 18.3 yards of flower trim.)
- 2 cans Krylon® ColorMaster™ Enamel Paint - One a shade darker than the other (Gloss Ocean Breeze and Satin Periwinkle shown)
- Hot Glue Gun/glue sticks
- masking tape and paper
Instructions:
- Remove mirror from frame or mask off glass and cover with paper to prevent paint and glue from getting on the mirror.
- Gently clean off wood frame to remove any dust/dirt on surface of frame.
- Spray an even base coat of Krylon ColorMaster paint onto the wood frame and allow to dry.
- Using the hot glue gun, adhere the flower trim to the wood frame, completely covering the surface.
- Using lighter color, and a sweeping motion, spray flower covered frame with Krylon ColorMaster paint. Gradually build up color until you have achieved the shade desired. For a lighter shade you may also spray further away, for a darker shade move closer to your project.
- Using the darker color of Krylon ColorMaster paint and holding the can 18inches to 2 feet away from frame gently mist the frame. The gentle mist will just settle on the tops of the flowers giving them depth of color
- Allow to dry and then remove tape and paper.
- Hang and enjoy your mirror!
