4th of July Star Wall Hanging
Patterned papers in red, white and blue become a lovely star wall hanging for homemade 4th of July decorations from Sizzix.
Materials:
Brand Items:
- 654981 - Sizzix Bigz Die - Flower, Daisies
- 654995 - Sizzix Originals Die - Stars #2
- 655158 - Sizzix Bigz Die - Star, 5 Point 3-D
Other Supplies:
- Cardstock
- Patterned Paper
- Button
- Glitter
- Hole Punch
- Ink
- Ribbon
- Sewing Machine
- Tinsel
- Wire
Instructions:
- Adhere patterned paper to cardstock.
- Die-cut five Star Points from paper.
- Use zig-zag stitch on machine to embellish top fold of Star if desired.
- Attach Points together at tabs. Punch holes in sides of Star.
- Attach wire to Star through holes and secure in place.
- Die-cut Star and Flower from cardstock and adhere to the Star.
- Embellish with ink, glitter, ribbon, tinsel and a decorative button.

This is an impressive star decoration. If you are wanting an even more spectacular look, I could see expanding the size and using old cardboard from boxes, cereal boxes or cartons and cut them into the star shape, and then covering the star sections with your patriotic paper, old gift wrap in patriotic colors, or even just painting them. Adding buttons for the edges or even silver tinsel would really add some pizazz as well. Great project!
