Red, White, and Blue Wreath

With a few simple materials, you can create thie Red, White, and Blue Wreath just in time for your 4th of July celebration.  Great for hanging both indoors and out, this do it yourself wreath is easy and fun to make.  You could even use this same technique to create a wreath in any of your favorite colors.

Red, White, and Blue Wreath

Materials:

  • Foam circle wreath
  • Red, white, and blue fat quarters
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Glue/Hot Glue Gun

Instructions:

  1. I cut my fabric into wide strips and wrapped it around the foam circle. I started with red and hot glued it into place. I made sure to keep the rough edges tucked underneath and made sure one side was definitely the “back”. On the back of the wreath is where I stopped and started the fabric. Since that side was going to be facing the door, only I would be seeing it. Everyone else would be seeing the “front” side and I wanted that to look clean.

  2. Keeping the fabric taught I wrapped it around making sure the lines were clean and looked nice and somewhat even. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, so don’t stress.

What a very nice wreath. It doesn't take much to make and it's very easy to assemble. It can work for any patriotic day. Memorial Day, Labor Day, the 4th and even Flag day. You can make it up in no time at all. Make sure to check out thrift stores for the material.

I think I would maybe tried to get the ribbon to match the blue that was on the wreath. I KNOW BLUES ARE HARD TO MATCH.
