Instructions:
-
Following the manufacturer’s directions, base coat the front and back of the frame with 2 to 3 coats of Hosta Leaf.
-
Base coat the top of the leaves as follows – Bauhaus Gold: three small and three large leaves; Georgia Clay: two small and two large leaves; and Burgundy: three small and three large leaves. (Crafting tip: Temporarily affix each group of leaves to a separate piece of cardboard, using loops of masking tape for each leaf. Paint the leaves and allow to dry while on the board. This makes them easier to handle.)
-
Add veining to each leaf, using the leafing pens as follows: 18 KT. Gold veins on each Bauhaus Gold leaf, Silver veins on each Burgundy leaf, and Copper veins on each Georgia Clay leaf.
-
Glue spacers to each of the following: one large Burgundy leaf, one small Burgundy leaf, one large Georgia Clay leaf, and one large Bauhaus Gold leaf.
- Glue the leaves to the frame, referring to the model for suggested placement.
