Stars and Stripes Solar Table Lamps
In the Designer's Words: "These old lamps and lamp shades were turned into outdoor solar lamps and painted with stars and striped using craft paint, a printed star template and some painters tape. During the day they show off the red, white and blue. During the night the stars and stripes pattern shows through. Placed around a porch or patio they can brighten the night and make the scene festive for the patriotic season. The pattern is easy enough to make that with a few alterations, other flag patterns could work, as well. Come see the full tutorial and how they light up at night!"

These stars and stripes solar table lamps remind me of Captain America. My nephew will love this for his room.

This is a very cost effective idea because you can get solar lights at dollar type stores. Then you have no worries of electrical cords and you can place these pretty patriotic lamps anywhere in the yard, garden or patio. Another fun option might be to paint the stars and white areas with glow in the dark paint, or you can glue on plastic glow stars directly on the shade for a fun three dimensional look. Love this project, thanks for sharing!
