I was thinking the same thing about perhaps not lasting outdoors in real life use with birds! I am wondering ifmyoumcoukd cover the whole outside of the birdhouse with a clear varnish or decopage formulation for outdoors. My friend has a brightly painted birdhouse that is current,y occupied by a family of wrens and it seems to be quite bright and holding up, so it must have a protective overcoat. But this would be cute as a decor piece, perhaps to hold an artificial bird or some silk flowers. Cute!
