Hanging Tin Can House Number Display

"I love to upcycle and repurpose trash so I thought it would be fun to make an upcycled house number display for my home out of old tin cans. I actually made two versions of these hanging tin can planters one with food cans and another with soda cans. Both were planted with succulents and hung on a wooden backboard. With the food cans, I decoupaged numbers on the outside of the cans and hung them outside my front door to show my house number."

More Recycled Crafts You'll Love

We are so excited to share some craft project ideas with you, especially if you enjoy creating hanging tin can house number displays. If you have a knack for upcycling materials and adding a personalized touch to your home décor, you might enjoy making a few other DIY projects.

For those crafters who like working with tin cans, we suggest trying your hand at creating tin can lanterns. These can be a charming addition to your outdoor space, especially for summer evenings spent on the patio. You can mix and match different sizes of tin cans, add some holes for light to shine through, and insert a tea light candle for a cozy glow.

If you enjoy the rustic and industrial look of tin cans, you might also enjoy making a tin can organizer for your desk or work space. By combining multiple tin cans and arranging them in a creative way, you can create a functional and stylish piece to hold pens, pencils, scissors, and other small items. You can also customize the look by painting or decorating the tin cans to match your existing décor.

For crafters looking to create a thoughtful gift for a housewarming or wedding, consider making a set of tin can planters. You can paint the tin cans in coordinating colors, add drainage holes at the bottom, and plant small succulents or herbs inside. This handmade gift is not only adorable but also eco-friendly and budget-friendly. Plus, it shows your loved ones that you put time and effort into creating something special just for them.
