Tin Can Organizer

Get your life organized with this Tin Can Organizer from Savannah Starr. Made from recycled material, crafts like this are Earth friendly and easy on the wallet. You can use this tin can craft to store anything from silverware to art supplies.

tin can organizer

Materials:

Tin Cans
Collage paper
Collage glue
Paint brush
Glitter Tape
Scissors
Drill with drill bit & screw driver bit
Screws
Plywood- cut to size and painted

Video:

Instructions:

Apply glitter tape to tin can.
Brush collage glue onto can.
Brush collage glue onto back of collage paper.
Lay onto can.
Brush over paper with glue.
Repeat to cover entire can.
Decoupage the inside of the can too.
Drill hole in the bottom of the can.
Drill a hole in the plywood.
Change to screw bit.
Attach can to plywood with screw.
You have yourself an amazing tin can tabletop organizer!

why use glitter tape at all since it will be covered up? Also, how about spray painting the interior? I would have liked to see a glimpse of the finished project. Great idea, I have saved tons of tin cans which I now know what to do with.

I don't mean to be a problem BUT I had alreadt checked with these sources. They all carry American Craft and their largest width is 7/8". This looks to be at least 2" or more. Coulde it be some kind of industrial glitter tape. Thank you so much for helping me. I think you can see the convenience of a wider tape that can also take the decoupage. Can you jusy ask Savannah where it comes from??? Hope so...bobbyb

@bobbyb Great question! You can find Glitter Tape at almost any hobby store. I'd recommend checking Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Otherwise Archiver's or Amazon.com might have it as well. Hope that helps!
