Wood slice frame stand and pressed flowers
"I love the trend in home interiors for those lovely glass double sided picture frames. I want to use mine to display some lovely pressed flowers. However, I didn't want to hang them on the wall. I wanted to display my gorgeous pressed flowers on the mantle. So I made some handy picture frame stands for them. To keep in with the nature theme I used wood slices for the stands. The natural look of the wood slices with their bark edge compliment the pressed flowers."

If you enjoy working with wood slices and pressed flowers, we have some great craft project ideas for you! One idea is to create a beautiful wood slice photo frame. Simply choose a wood slice that is slightly larger than your photo, drill a small hole at the top for hanging, and attach a small clip at the bottom to hold your picture in place. Then, arrange your pressed flowers around the edges of the wood slice for a lovely natural touch.
Another fun project to try is making wood slice coasters with pressed flowers. Select a few small wood slices, sand them down, and seal them with a coat of varnish. Arrange your pressed flowers on top of the wood slices in a pleasing pattern, then seal them in with another coat of varnish for a durable finish. These coasters will add a touch of nature to your home decor and make great gifts for friends and family.
For a more challenging project, consider making a wood slice plant stand with pressed flower accents. Use larger wood slices to create the platforms for your plants, and stack them to varying heights for visual interest. Attach wooden dowels as legs to create a stand, and decorate the edges with your pressed flowers for a unique and colorful touch. This project will not only showcase your crafting skills but also add a natural and whimsical element to your indoor garden.
