Green Crafting Tip: Traveling Toothbrush Holder
Don't throw away those old film canisters! Recycle them for traveling with a toothbrush with these simple steps.
Steps:
- Take an old, empty film canister and wash out thoroughly.
- Cut a small circular hole in the lid just slightly smaller than the head of your toothbrush.
- Slide the top of your toothbrush through and secure the canister over top.
- Now your toothbrush is protected from outside elements when packed in your suitcase.

I use film canisters and plastic medicine containers to carry my different colored earring when I go to a warmer climate for the winter months. I dap the color of the earrings on the top of the container. Pink paint dab w/ pink earrings inside, blue paint dab w/blue earrings inside. This saves space and makes easy access to the right color earring

Prescription bottles and old film canisters are great for storing pins, push-pins, thumb-tacks and beads. I also use both for keeping small household nails and screws in one place. I just use masking tape to label what is in each container.

Since people don't use very many film canisters in this day of digital cameras, you can use plastic medicine containers.
