Ghost and Jack O Lantern Plaque

Materials:

• Crafter's Acrylic
  • DCA01 - White
  • DCA47 - Black
  • DCA70 - Passionate Pink
  • DCA72 - Purple Passion
  • DCA85 - Wild Green
  • DCA97 - Bright Orange
• Americana Spray Sealers
  • DAS12 - Americana Gloss Spray
• Americana Brushes
  • DBF3012-B - Shader #12
  • DBDS5525-B - Deerfoot Stippler 1/4"
• One pair wiggle eyes
• Water container
• Paper towels
• Palette or foam plate
• Fine point black permanent marker
• Hot glue gun
• Masking tape
• Wood ghost and pumpkin plaque with bats and leaves

Steps:

1. Mask off wires using masking tape.
    
2. Paint pumpkin Bright Orange using #12 shader brush. Using stippler brush and Bright Yellow,
    
3. paint insets of pumpkin's face and along outside edges of ridges and sides on either side of pumpkin. Let dry
    
4. Paint ghost using #12 shader brush and White. Mix small amount of Purple Passion with water to make wash. Stipple edges and sides of ghost. Stipple heart shape in center of ghost.
    
5. Using Passionate Pink and stippler brush, paint center of heart, blending with wash. Use permanent marker to draw mouth.
    
6. Paint leaves Wild Green and bats Black. Let dry.
    
7. Use stippler brush with Bright Yellow to stipple leaf edges. Do same with bats, using Purple Passion. Let dry.
    
8. Paint stem with mix of Bright Orange and Wild Green. Let dry and then stipple edges with Wild Green.
    
9. Spray plaque with several light coats of Americana Gloss Spray and let dry.
    
10. Hot glue wiggle eyes on ghost and rhinestones on bats.
