Pop up Ghost Cards
The ghost for this clever Halloween card is stamped on a bit of craft foam and placed onto a spring to bounce. This Halloween ghost postcard is sure to make the recipients smile. Invite friends to a Halloween party with this homemade Halloween card.
Materials:
- Ghost stamp
- White craft foam
- Postcard-size card stock
- Thin, bendable wire
- Thin dowel or large nail
- Wire cutter
- Tape
Steps:
- Wrap wire. Cut a small length of thin, bendable wire (about 4 or 5 inches is fine). Leave a 1-inch “tail” and then begin wrapping the wire around a thin dowel or large nail. You will want to wrap about 10 coils before leaving another tail.
- Insert wire. Cut the wire to size, being careful of the rough ends. Carefully insert one end of the spring into the ghost image until you reach the coils. Punch a very small hole in the top layer of your invitation and insert the loose end of the spring. Secure this end with tape.
- Mount invite. Mount the printed invitation to a piece of postcard-sized card stock and it is ready to be inserted into an envelope.
Tip: The smaller your spring coils, the easier it will be for the pop-up to lay flat.
