Flower Trim Card
Who says lacy trim is only for fabric designs, take this notion to a different place and use it as an embellishment for cards! Follow this card project by Maria Nerius.
Materials:
- 9 Window card blank (4 3/4" x 4 3/4")
- Flower lace trim (enough to cut 9 flowers)
- Handmade or decorative paper scraps
- 1” Square paper punch
- Glue
- Scissors
- Ruler
Instructions:
- Punch nine 1” squares from your scrap handmade or decorative papers. Glue to the inside top flap of card so the papers show through the card’s windows. Make sure you are gluing the squares with the “right” or decorative side of the paper down, not facing you. Cut a 4” x 4” piece of decorative or handmade paper and adhere to the inside top flap of the card to cover the backs of the paper squares to give a finished look to the inside of card.
- Trim flowers from the lace trim. Adhere one flower per square on card front. You could also use any small embellishment you like instead of lace flowers like small buttons, stickers, beads.
