Horses Wall Hanging
If you admire the beauty of horses, sew up this decorative wall hanging featuring different horse panels. This intermediate sewing project can be completed in around 4 hours. Some quilting experience would be helpful.
Materials:
- ½ CP28735 Pillow Panel - A (See Diagram below)
- ¼ yd CP28424 Paisley Horse Frame - B
- 7/8 yd CP28737 Stripe - C
- 2 1/8 yds CP28738 Paisley -D
- 1 2/3 yds Needlepunch Fleece
- Basic sewing supplies
- Sewing machine
- Iron and ironing surface
Notes:
- Read all directions before beginning.
- All seam allowances are 1/4”.
- WOF = Width of Fabric
Cutting:
From Pillow Panel cut:
- Two 17 ½” x 17 ½” squares
From Paisley Horse Frame cut:
- One oval frame horse leaving 1” around the frame
From Stripe cut:
- One 17 ½” x 17 ½” square for center
- Four 2 ¼” x WOF for binding
From Paisley cut:
- Five 2 ½” x WOF for borders
- One 24” x 59” for back
Assembly Instructions:
- Referring to the picture, sew three 17 ½” squares together.
- Using a decorative stitch, sew oval frame horse to center of stripe square.
- Sew border strips to the top, bottom and sides.
- L ay front and back with wrong sides together and place needlepunch fleece in between.
- Baste around all sides.
- Topstitch as desired.
