Snowman Jar Cozy

Finished Size: 10" (25 cm) circumference x 5" (13 cm) long, unstretched
RED HEART® Super Saver®: 1 skein of 316 Soft White.
Susan Bates® Double Pointed Knitting Needles: 4.5 mm [US 7].
Two , ½" (13 mm) buttons, scrap of orange and black felt, embroidery needle and matching thread, 16" (41 cm) circumference x 6" (15 cm) glass vase (optional).
GAUGE: 20 sts = 4"( 10 cm), 32 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Rib Stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
(4 Medium)RED HEART® Super Saver®, Art. E300 available in solid color 7 oz (198 g), 364 yd (333 m); multicolor, heather, and print 5 oz (141 g), 244 yd (223 m), flecks 5 oz (141 g), 260 yds (238 m) skeins.
COZY
Cast on 52 sts, leaving a long end for sewing. Join, being careful that sts are not twisted, and begin working in the round. Place marker for beginning of round.
Round 1 (Right side): (K2, P2) around.
Repeat Round 1 for pattern until piece measures approximately 5" from cast on edge.
Bind off all sts in pattern.
FINISHING
Cut one triangle nose piece out of orange felt. Cut 5, ¼" (6 mm) squares out of black felt.
Thread embroidery needle with matching thread. Using photo as a guide, sew buttons to Cozy for eyes, sew triangle nose piece to Cozy for nose, and sew square mouth pieces to Cozy for mouth.

adorable idea...could use up scrap yarn and make a ski style cap for the top...just wondering if this might fit a 5 inch "bubble" style craft vase? I could also see this as a jack-o-lantern...endless possibilities!
