Rnd 9 is wrong it is 14 then slip 10. I have made these on 10 us dpn double yarn and it fits an adult hand. I am making a pair now for a homeless man who lives under a bridge. I increased the rib to 6 rows of red heart & chenile and 2 rows of double strand red heart for a total of 8 rib rows so it goes in his coat deeper.

OK I finished my first mitten and working on #2. Rnd 9 didnt make sense to me so I kniited 14 slipped 10 off on a spare needle or pin and knitted to the end. If you knit 24 then slip 10 you are away from where you built the gusset. Anyone else find this to be an issue??? As for size, I found that they fit a woman's hand. I could stretch them on to my hand & I have a large hand. This could be made into a fingerless mitten if bound off before decrease.
