Knitted Mirror Socks
Not for brand new knitters, this advanced knitting pattern shows you how to knit socks that are sure to keep you warm. Knitted using what the designer refers to as the war and peace method, the Knitted Mirror Socks are a time-consuming project that is actually worth the extra effort. These warm socks make a fabulous homemade gift for the hiker or skier in your family as they will do a fine job keep toes toasty no matter their location.
In the Designer's Words: "Socks knitted using the “War & Peace” method. It's a careful double knitting technique that creates both socks at the same time -- just pull them apart at the toes when you're done!"
Knitting Needle Size1 or 2.25 mm, Double-Pointed Knitting Needles (DPNs)

That is SUCH a cool sock knitting method. War & Peace? I've never heard of it! I just finished a pair of socks myself and don't really feel like knitting another pair, but my mom asked for one so I'll keep this on the backburner for Christmas!
