"This split-brimmed hat will keep your head warm and your spirits high! The colors are full of joy, hence the name: Joyful Warmth. The split brim keeps your ears toasty warm as well. The height of form meets function, make one for everyone in your family! Size: Child (Adult Small, Adult Large) fits 20 (22, 24) inches Yarn: King Cole: Yummy, Eton Mess 2215 Hook/Needles: US-17 double points, or long circulars for magic loop method & 16″ circulars Gauge: 8 sts x 14 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stockinette Other supplies: 1 large round marker yarn needle Stitches and Abbreviations: k – knit kfb – knit front and back sp(s) – space(s) st(s) – stitch(es)"

This is so adorable! The yarn is definitely unique. If I can get my hands on a pair of size 17 needles (the biggest size I have is 15!) then I'll put this pattern on my to-do list!
