Yarn: a cotton yarn in either sport or worsted weight is recommended. Choose two colors (A and B).
Knitting needles. Note: your knitting needles should be appropriately sized for the yarn. Consider size 6 for this project.

How to Knit a Dishcloth Instructions

CO 34 sts Clr A.

Rows 1-2. Clr A: k across.
Row 3. Clr B: k across.
Row 4. Clr B: k1, (k2tog, yo, 1), rpt ( to ) across.
Rows 5-6. Clr B: k across.
Rpt rows 1-6 until nearly to desired length.
Rows 7-8. Clr A: k across. BO all sts.

Personally, I can't wait to start on this adorable dishcloth. Broke my wrist and this easy pattern will be a small project to help get back to consistent stitches. I love the combo of only two colors. It looks so fresh and clean which is some4thing everyone wants in their kitchen. I see this in lemon yellow and white. Peach and white...the list goes on and on. Oh and think about expanding this adorable stitch pattern into a baby blanket!!!!! 3

I did not look at the video but judging from the written instructions it should be an easy dishcloth to make. I don't buy dishcloths anymore. I find making them is easy enough and in the long run it is more practical to make them. I usually find the yarn on sale and I can make a couple out of one skein. They wash well and last a lot longer. Thank you.

Never thought that the knitted dishcloth would be able to be washed and last longer. Do you wash by hand or in washing machine? There is a lot of work making them so I would be concerned about how to do this correctly. What is the best yarn to use? I have not knitted in a long time so this will probably be a good refresher.

Sorry about the delay in replying. You can use the "Sugar and Creme" cotton yarn which you can buy at Michaels. Or if you go to any yarn store, ask for cotton yarn that is best for dishcloths. These can be put in the washer. It is a good refresher and also a good way to try a new stitch pattern. Very portable project as well.

Hi, do we use a cotton like crochet cotton and what thickness would it be? It looks like wool in the video demonstration? I also wouldn't use wool. thanks.

I am kind of like Toni, I have trouble of getting the hang of knitting (too many needles ). This pattern however looks easy enough that even I could do it. I am going to try with some leftovers that I have stashed way that I cannot do a complete anything with! #NationalCraftMonth2017

I also feel like you Stephanie and Toni about knitting. I took a class many years ago and actually made a shirt for my grandmother in green(her favorite color) and she wore it all the time and it turned out great but I could not even attempt it today. This pattern does look like it maybe a great one to get started again. Have you tried it yet? I have a lot of projects to finish and then I may give this a try.

#NationalCraftMonth2017 I do not knit except for loom knitting, but I love knitting dish cloths on the loom or crocheting them. Fun, relaxing project such a nice sense of satisfaction to have small project done well and given to my daughter )
