5-Minute Peppermint Yarn Wreath Ornament

Say hello to your new favorite yarn project! This cute little yarn wrapped ornament is made using a mason jar lid, some yarn, ribbon, and glue. As someone that does a lot of cooking AND crafting, it should be no surprise that I always have mason jars lying around. Not only are they cheap and easy to find (hello, dollar store!), but they are so versatile and can be used for both recipes and craft projects.

To make this mini yarn wrapped wreath, simply wrap some yarn around the ring of the mason jar lid and adhere together with some glue. I used white worsted weight yarn, and then added some red to make it look like a candy cane. You could use any color yarn you want, obviously! I then added a cute little ribbon bow for an added touch, and then wrapped some white yarn around the top so I can hang it on my tree. This ornament would also make an awesome gift topper around the holiday season!

This is my kind of project. It requires very little material and you can do these five minute peppermint yarn wreath ornaments while you watch your favorite television show. I just have a few lids that really need to be thrown away because of the rust. To keep the rust at bay I think I will spray them with something first. A quick google search shows Rust-Oleum is what I need.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. This is one of the quickest ornament ideas I have seen in a while. Perfect as group projects and a stash buster as well. Now a days, candy canes come in all colors, so your peppermint wreath should reflect the colors you use for decorations.

This is such a cute yarn ornament. I think this would also look good in other colors to keep up all year round. Can't wait to get started on my own!
