Camping Album
Store your kid's favorite camping memories in an album. This kid craft project is a great idea for any boy or girl. Make sure to bring the camera for the next camping trip adventure.
Materials:
DecoArt Products Required
- Americana Acrylics
- DA132 - Hauser Medium Green
- 8" x 8" album, The Paper Studio, #142927
- Scrapbook paper (We used The Paper Studio, Forest Trees 180216.)
- 2" chipboard letter shapes, "camp", The Paper Studio #866376
- 1/4" flat brush
- Foam plate
- 20-mm round foam stencil brush
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Ruler
- School glue stick
- Lo-temp glue gun and glue stick
- Sharpie twin tip (fine/ultra fine point) black permanent marker
Instructions:
- Measure and cut 7" square from scrapbook paper. Leaving 2" border, cut 3" square from center of paper.
- Use glue stick to cover back of paper piece. Center and press paper over front of album, using fingers to spread paper flat and remove wrinkles. Let glue dry.
- Use flat brush and Hauser Medium Green to paint letters; let dry.
- Remove adhesive backing from letters and, referring to photo for placement, attach letters on top section of album. (Or use lo-temp glue, if needed.)
- Referring to photo, use stencil brush and Hauser Medium Green to paint dots to form caterpillar across bottom section of album; let dry.
- Use fine point marker to draw short lines for legs, curly antennae, eye dots, and smile on caterpillar.
- Use ultra fine point to write activities on patterned paper: names of camp team around border of album; name of attendee and date of camp below photo opening (or photo caption, if desired).
Helpful Tip:
We used Americana Acrylic color to match scrapbook paper.
