Look for a new use for old kitchen utensils? Create your own Easy Silverware Wind Chime and breathe new life into rusty supplies. This is a quick and simple project that will help you save big. Place one in your garden or on your back porch for a sweet song and pretty look.
Materials:
- Three forks
- Seven spoons
Instructions:
-
The top of the wind chime is 1 fork with the prongs bent out like a sign with little loops bent up on each end of the prong. Use pliers to do this easily.
-
Use a drill to put a hole in the center of the top fork.
-
Tie a fork or spoon on fishing line and tie it in each little loop on the end of the prongs.
-
Tie a spoon or fork in the center of each prong.
- Tie a spoon through the center hole of the top fork with the string long enough to have the bottom of the spoon reach just below the rest of the spoons and forks.

I tried it and it came out better than I expected, but I couldn't bend the loops on the fork enough to keep the line from sliding out. Any suggestions?

I used an old kitchen culender and tied several pieces of silverware to it, with fishing line. I ran a fishing line through the bottom of the culender and tied it to a tree in my yard. Yes, it chimes. Mary Sadler

I'm sorry, but without a photo it is impossible to imagine it. Post a photo, please.

What ? No picture ! It would be so much better with a picture. I agree with the other commenters. I think a lot of crafters might try this is there was a finished product to view.

I'd like to see a picture also. So many times it's easier too make something if we can see a picture. Thanks.
