Alcohol Inks: Puddle Background
Here's another background idea to use with scrapbooking and card making. This alcohol ink technique from Marti Wills creates a lovely puddle background that you can use to make your embossed shapes pop!
Materials:
- Glossy Cardstock.
- Alcohol Ink- 2-3 coordinating colors.
- Metallic Mixative
- Blending Solution
- Non-Stick Craft Mat

Instructions:
- Drop several drops of each alcohol ink on to your craft mat – they should be near each other but not on top of each other.
- Add 2-3 drops of metallic mixative.
- Add 3-5 drops of Blending Solution.
- Lay glossy cardstock face down in the puddle and twist slightly so there is one solid puddle.
- Grab one corner and lift – set aside to dry.
- This puddle can be used for more than one piece of cardstock. Add more blending solution if inks begin to dry or to make colors lighter.
