Sweet Robin Handmade Greeting Card

One die template can create stunning effects when the shape is repeated. Here it is used with repetition to enhance bird printed fabric that has been die cut. A quick and easy greeting card craft for everyone, from Spellbinders!

Sweet Robin Handmade Greeting Card

Materials:

  • Spellbinders Die Templates S5-006 Mega Curved Rectangles, S3-034 Ladies Fashion Buckles
  • Kokuyo Tape‘N’Roller Plus Adhesive
  • AMACO Bright Gold ArtEmboss Colored Foils
  • Glue Dots Minis
  • WorldWin Treasures Deep Brown, Desert Tan and Cinnamon textured cardstocks
  • Green silk ribbon
  • brown ink
  • printed fabric image

Steps:

  1. Start by cutting/embossing the largest Curved Rectangle (S5-006) from Deep Brown cardstock.
     
  2. Work your way down in sizes, cutting/embossing in Cinnamon and Desert Tan.
     
  3. Use a pre-printed fabric like ones from Crafty Secrets. Cut the image from the Curved Rectangles, running it through a couple of times if needed to fully cut.
     
  4. Machine stitch around the edge of the cotton image and sponge ink around all the edges.
     
  5. Cut/emboss Ladies Fashion Buckles (S3-034) from gold foil.
     
  6. To finish, assemble your first three layers using dimensional adhesive squares. Add ribbon threading it through the Buckle, attach the fabric image, tie your bow.
