    Materials:

    • Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue
    • Polymer clay – I used scrap clay because it gets covered
    • Metal leaf
    • Metal leaf adhesive and sealer
    • 20 gauge wire
    • Jewelry tools
    • Tweezers
    • Needle tool or toothpick
    • Gems (rhinestones)
    • Beads

    Instructions:

    1. Shape a small ball of clay into an egg. Make a bead hole with needle tool.

    2. Find two skewers the same size as your gems. Leaving the bead on the needle tool, press the flat ends of the skewers on opposite sides at the same time.

    3. Turn the bead and repeat as many times as you like. You may need to gently reshape the clay. Do that while it’s still on the needle tool. Bake the clay according to the package directions.

Wrap a small loop in the other end of the wire. Wrap the tail around just above the loop and trim the excess.Coat the bead with metal leaf adhesive according to the bottle directions. Allow to dry.

    5. The adhesive will still be sticky. Pick up a sheet of the metal leaf and apply to the bead. Keep applying until the whole bead is covered.
