Snazzy Cat Collar
Dress your cat up for the holidays! This Snazzy Cat Collar from Erika Lindquist is a fantastic and easy homemade Christmas craft.
Materials:
- Plaid shirt with lace collar
- Needle
- Thread
- Buttons
Instructions:
- I cut off the lace collar and took it in about 6 inches with the sewing machine to make a "snazzy" collar for the cats.
- It already had a button closure so I kept that part.

Cute, but should have a clasp that will give if the cat gets caught on something.

Cat's should only wear safety collars and I agree with pcheflora's comments. Personally if you want to dress some thing-up buy a doll....!

Cat collars should always have an easy open clasp and/or elastic in the event they get them caught on something. My cats never go outside, but they do get themselves into the darndest places ... and I would hate for them to get strangled because they caught their collar on something and couldn't get free. Adding 1/2" of elastic in the collar would do the trick, it would stretch enough in the event they needed to get out of it in an emergency.
