I enjoyed the Common Thread Designs’ booth at Fall Quilt Market 2010 and the company was generous enough to gift me two pattern kits to review. Bali Bandz is a wearable fiber art design that can also be adapted for party favors, shoe jewelry, bookmarks, gift bows, and zipper pulls. Everything you need is listed and it is a simple list of fabric, felt, needle and thread, beads, and bias tape maker. The finished designs photographed are bold and exciting, but know you can adapt the color and design of the fabrics to your own taste or needs. The instructions are well written. The Bali Point to Point is a pretty tablerunner, again with a complete material list and well-written instructions. I felt that a beginner could complete both projects after a review with my quilting friends. Common Threads has excellent designs with well-crafted instruction.
