If you're all about the adult coloring book pages trend, be sure to give ColorMe Decals a whirl. Decorate your wall with your own creatively colored designs. This product from My Wonderful Walls is a splendid way to take the next step with your colorful creations.

For review, I tried out the Bird on Tree Branch Mandala in the small 8" x 8" size. The decals range in size from this smallest one up to the very large 36" x 36". My decal arrived rolled up in a mailing tube, so definitely tape down the corners to ensure a flat and even coloring surface. The decal has blank "outer sticker material" to test different coloring supplies, which I think is a great feature! I originally grabbed colored pencils but the fabric texture lends itself much better to water-based supplies like markers and liquid watercolors.

Since this decal is the smallest size, I used fine tip markers. Brush tip would also work very well. The vinyl texture really allows colorists to play with the pressure and application for shading color. Shading with markers is usually more subtle for me than shading with pencil, and with the very fine detail the shading is a little hard to see, but it is there:

I really like orange, so I chose a warm color scheme for the bird. The amount of detail was intimidating to color in but easier for patches of one color! If you are coloring over the lines, try not to use a light color like yellow. Depending on how aggressively you color over the lines, you might smear some of the black into your coloring space. Also, although the decal looks like a fuzzy poster with raised edges, the edges are not raised! Don't color sloppily in the mindset that you have those little fuzzy barriers.

When you've finished coloring your decal, application is simple. My Wonderful Walls charmingly suggests getting in the mood with a little dance as step one. The adhesive backing makes application simple: just peel and stick! The cleaner your walls are, the better, so be sure to either apply a fresh coat of paint or clean the surface so the decal sticks most effectively.  The decals are repositionable, but try to limit the amount of times you do move the decals as this will affect adhesion over time.
